Oyé oyé !

US-After a short (okay well, long) moment of absence on my blog. I am happy to announce that I am coming back to the  fashion blogosphere !! I am now studying communication and events so I won’t allways have much time but i assure you that i will do my best to post at least every month, lots of love !

Fr-Chers et chères collègues , j’ai le grand plaisir de vous annoncer mon retour (le come back de l’année, oui oui ) parmi la blogosphère mode! J’ai commencé cette année mes études en communication et évènementiels donc je n’aurais pas toujours le temps d’écrire mais je vous assure de tout faire pour au moins poster 1 un article par mois , besos !

There’s nothing more relaxing after a long day of picking up the leaves in the garden, running around town,working with that new boss of yours that just doesn’t get she isn’t Elizabeth the 2nd, than just sitting next to a good fire whilst biting onto a good ol’ cinnamon roll .

Cinnamon rolls always remind me of this great childhood memory, my dad had took my brother and I to a Cinnabon store, the smell of freshly baked, warm, cinnamon rolls coming to my lips made me realize that pastries could do you the most good in the world ( when of course you don’t have enough money for a new pair of Jimmy Choos at the moment ) and  still today i think back about that day and feel how comforting it is to just have something perfect,warm,and sweet when it is pouring outside and the wind is just fussing around with our hair,hats,skirts (or actually anything that can eventually make you look like another “doofus” on the street , wrestling with this so called ”force of the nature” ).

 So, fellow subscribers i shall share with you a recipe that will not only make your tastebuds melt but also make you feel at home , where ever you are . I managed to find the same recipe en Français and in English

Once you have made your dough and spread out the filling , roll it into a log .

Then cut the log in equal pieces.Lay the rolls on a baking sheet.

 Final result : YUM !

Walking on crumbling leaves

US-Today is October the 19th and unless your name is Britney Spears or Miley Cyrus, you are stuck in this cloudy, windy almost freezing autumn weather!! So if your not living in L.A at this very moment check this simple but very practical outfit ( and, well of course fashionable…duuh !  )

FR-Et ouis nous sommes en plein automne, malgré le fait que j’adore cette saison , on se trouve toujours face a un dilemme car l’automne et bien oui c’est une demi-saison ( parce qu’il en faut bien sinon ca serait pas drole ). Alors comment adopter notre garde robe a ce temps nuageux, presque glaciale et on ne peut plus venteux ( oui oui oui ce mot existe ).

US-I absolutely love cuddling up to this fur scarf ( from 123 ), its original and oh so soft! The preppy jacket is this season’s must have, adding a hint of sporty-chic to your outfit .

FR- Ce que j’adore par dessus tout, me cocooner dans cette echarpe boule en fourrure ( écharpe 123 ) . La veste matelassée est bien sur le “must” de cette saison,pourquoi? Car son style preppy lui permet de donner un coté sport-chic a votre tenue, of course !

I LOVE THIS TIME OF THE YEAR

 

When leaves turn red, when houses turn warm and feet get cold. I love this
time of year when you know thanksgiving or halloween is coming up , when you see
pumpkins all over the place, (actually its the only time when people think it’s
normal to put out vegetables in front of their houses), when you can smell the
pumpkin or nut pies, when all your familly gets together. I love this time of
year when everyhting seems just so perfect that you don’t even keep track of
time, you jump into piles of dead leaves, you try on your new jackets to keep
you warm . Everything in the air feels so warm even if it’s 10 degrees outside,
everything smells like family time, like autumn time. Every year this is the
moment i wait for the most, when leaves turn red and start drizzling all over.

 

-Yes… i did feel a bit poetic this morning I know,so OF COURSE  i had to share it with you BUT I also wanted to announce some exciting news : I got my camera back !!! So expect some pictures on how to wear this fall’s trends….coming soon!!!

 

Snake in Style

This is what i love about fashion, it makes are biggest fears become our greatest confidence boost. Yes this season we are adopting snake…prints ! Don’t worry i’m not that crazy , i’m not going to go buy a snake and just hang around with it ( I think i recall i certain Justin Bieber testing that theory huh??..). So this year we are letting our jungle spirit get a grip on our clothes .

Here are a few tips to tame some snakey trend :

- For the most outgoing , I suggest the snake print pants ( a slim fit of course otherwise you might end up looking like Crocodile Dundee ).

You may find the cheapest ones at 80$ (minimum price for best quality).

Others might prefer getting close to the animal feeling with a python dress :

What I prefer to suggest  is wearing these with a beige trench in the day which will add the soft feminine touch you need.

-For the other lovely fashion lovers out there that just want to get a dip of snakey attitude here’s what you might like :

 Jessica Alba and Eva Longoria   show off their python handbags, a hit of the season that ads a bit of an edge to any casual outfit !

Worn with a black perfecto it will give you a perfect,glam rock look . Added to a white vest, you will feel like a really ssssultry ssssstylista ( yes stylista is a word…i think) .

“Here comes the bride “

…..but did you see that girl’s dress?? Oh my gosh! …Oh and look at that one !Yes weddings, other than being a great moment where you can have as much as cake as you want, are also the possibility to show off your fashion skills . Having had a few weddings this summer, i wanted to make a top 3 of my favorite outfits , because it’s not always that easy to get inspiration for d-day , so if you feel as if you can’t find anything for your best friend’s wedding, take a look over here !   To start off, here is the outfit that i particulary fell for :

The bright colour added to the length of this dress gives any women a sprinkle of confidence and a lot of charm!

Of course, you will be asking me, ” What  about my little feet? ” don’t worry my dears, I won’t let them stay all lonely ! My must for any kind of ceremony ( and most especially for weddings ) is the nude pumps , they are making  a big hit in my closet this season . Why? Because they are just perfect, not to show-off , they stay chic and pure. This winter ( and even summer for the early birds ) the pair of shoes that our feet are going to be craving for are the new Miu Miu low ankle boots . I know, i can allready hear you say in a sarcastic tune ” Ankle boots? Again? Well that’s original….” . Well YES THESE ARE , the twist? Mixing on one shoe suede and glitter together ( suede + glitter aka the masterpieces of this fall ) . Without further ado I present to you the boots that cannot be equaled .

“Des franges sur mes bottes “

As I just happened to have a huge day of shopping in order to fill my wardrobe back for this fall I stumbled upon these cute little indian boots and fell in love ( thing I do a lot when it comes to clothes…unfortunately my bank account isn’t that pleased with my crushes ) with them as soon as i saw the little laces behind .

FR-Alors que j’etais entrain de vivre une journée shopping intense afin de remplir ma garderobe pour cet automne , je me suis retrouver devant ces petites bottines a franges indiennes, bien sûr ce style de chaussures est toujours a croquer mais ce qui m’a fait craquer ( chose que je fait souvent lorsqu’il s’agit de vêtements malheureusement pour mon compte en banque ) ce sont les petits lacets à l’arrière de la chaussure.

FR-Un autre “truc” que je vais adorer porter cette automne , c’est ce bermuda en daim , j’adore la façon dont son tissus reflète la lumière

The guide to Creepers : step by step

You recognized it , the new Prada shoes of this spring’s runway aka CREEPERS . While some might start jumping for joy when hearing the name of the paltform shoes , others don’t feel that pumped about it . So , still having cold feet about whether or not you should go for Creepers ? Even though my feet are bound to be freezed by these new ” it shoes ”  i will still be willing to hand you over some advice on how to adopt them , step by step .

First , you’ve got to know a bit about this shoe :  Creepers came up in the 1950′s during the rockabilly and Teddy Boys wave ( mostly accustomed to the U.K and the United States ) . But as we all know , a hit doesn’t show up once and this year the creepers have crawled back onto the runways . While the Prada’s rise to 795$ you may easily find much more affordable  platform shoes .

This season I have been craving for long, feminine , flowy , maxi skirts so this month’s Pulsion of Fashion is all about THE skirt , and the lovely accesories to complete the look . A short top added to  the enormous length of the skirt ( when you have such long pieces, don’t hesitate to play with the lengths ) . Turquoise O.P.I nalipolish for a splash of summer on our lovely little hands , and finally a gold cuff to bring out our tan ( ..or our sun burns… ) .

 

FR – Cette saison je suis devenue une adepte de la folie des grandeurs… des jupes . Les longues jupes , féminines , légeres, en somme : parfaites quoi ! C’est donc sans hésitation que la peice maitresse de la Pulsion Fashion de ce mois-çi est la maxi jupe , accompagnée de tout ses petits accesoires . Un top tout court pour casser avec l’immense longueur de la jupe , ( lorsque l’on a affaire avec de longues pieces , on hésite pas a jouer sur les longeurs ) . Et enfin une vague d’été sur nos mains avec le vernis turquoise de O.P.I et une manchette doré pour raviver notre bronzage (… ou nos coups de soleil.. ca dépend ) .
